FAQs

  • Who are our courses for?

If you’re a busy working creative looking to upskill, refine your techniques and raise the bar of your designs and process to industry standards, then we’re for you.

In every cohort there’s a mix of skill levels and experience – some students have some self-taught knowledge of the course discipline, some are complete beginners – so we tailor our approach to meet everyone’s learning needs.

We know trying to teach yourself on the job can be confusing, lonely and time-consuming. People come to us hungry for structure, accountability and honest, insightful, human-sounding feedback. If that’s what you want too, check us out.

  • Do I get any qualifications?

This is a course unlike any other, so there’s no formal qualification. When you complete the course, you’ll receive a certificate of completion and a badge to show off on your LinkedIn profile or website.

You’ll never get a grade or gold stars on your course, because that isn’t how the creative industries work. You will get practical feedback from people who already work in the kind of jobs you want. Feedback is so much better than grades. It helps you build-up your skills by giving you a clear direction to follow.

You’ll also get a top-notch portfolio to use as a springboard into your career. We think that’s much better proof of your skills than a piece of paper.

  • Do I need an accredited qualification to have a successful design career?

No, pieces of paper don’t matter in the Creative industry. Employers look at the quality of your work, your portfolio, and increasingly at your personal skills, including communication, and Professional skills including commercial awareness. These are far more highly regarded than a gold star or degree.

Your personal network within the industry is also of great importance. Working alongside other creative professionals and on briefs set by industry experts is a fine way to build that network and get yourself noticed by those who can truly make a difference to your future.

  • Which companies do we work with to make our courses?

The world’s leading studios, brands and agencies have contributed to our courses and set the briefs you may work on.

    • Oscar-winning visual effects company, Framestore
    • Acclaimed creative production studio, Mainframe
    • Branding agency, Studio Koto
    • Branding agency, Nomad Studio
    • International advertising consultancy, R/GA

    • AR studio, Zappar
    • Animation Studio, Cookie

  • What do I leave the course with?

You’ll leave with a top notch portfolio to use as a springboard into your career, industry trade secrets, professional processes, practical knowledge, confidence, real industry experience, and membership to a creative community for life.

  • What support do I get after the course?

You get to kickstart your journey as a creative or your successful career in design, truly knowing what employers want from you.

You’re not on your own, oh no. This ain’t University. Our dedicated Community team are available to offer advice, inform you of work opportunities, invite you to our hosted events, share resources….

  • How much support will I get on the course?

When you enrol on one of our courses, you also sign up to our community. A community of creative students, mentors, coaches and industry contacts.

On the Foundation courses, you get group mentoring (professional development) and coaching (personal development) sessions.

On the Professional courses, these sessions are 1-2-1, so you can really hone your skills, whether they be practical, professional or personal.

You’ll have the chance to chat to the Created team, including Silvia and Maya, directly at different stages through your course, at check-ins, on Slack and at remote events on the Professional courses. • Can I upgrade to a Professional course after Foundation?

Yes! If you’ve done a three Foundation and feel you’d benefit from 1-2-1 mentoring, coaching and industry briefs, you can join the Industry level of the next available Professional course*.

Professional courses have two intakes a year and migrating from Foundation to Professional, you will join in either January or July. To find out if you’d be eligible for the next one, contact Admissions.

*subject to availability and ensuring you meet the requirements necessary to join.

  • Do I get to choose my mentor and coach?

On the Professional courses, we’ll assign you an industry mentor and coach.

You’ll be paired with a professional designer at the top of their game, so they know what it takes to make it. And they’re here for you. Our coaches are trained to help you achieve your goals and reach your full potential.
